2026-2027 Springboard Winter Swim Registration Copy
Winter Swim will be held at Franconia (formerly Lee) District Rec Center (6601 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22310) on select Sunday nights. Coach Trish is once again leading our Winter Swim program and will be assisted by Coach Trista and our fabulous interns. Winter Swim is a great way to stay fresh in the water and keep up with your swim friends!
The Springboard Winter Swim Program is a conditioning program consisting of primarily lap swim, with kick sets, drills, and lap sets meant to improve skills. Winter Swim is open to current 2025 Springboard Swim Team swimmers who do not swim more than two days of Club swim per week.
- There are a limited number of slots available for Winter Swim and they are open on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional swimmers may be allowed by the approval of the Head Coach and Swim Team Rep if space is available.
- All swimmers must be between 6 and 18 years old. Swimmers MUST have practiced in the 8 & under group or higher during this last summer.
- Guppies REQUIRE the approval of the Head Coach to join the Winter Swim group PRIOR to registration.
- Fee: $175 per swimmer (no sibling discount).
Winter Swim takes place at Franconia (formerly Lee) District Rec Center (6601 Telegraph Road, Alexandria 22310) on select Sunday evenings from 6-7 pm or 7-8 pm.
- The winter swim season runs September 20, 2026 through May 2, 2027. We are bidding to swim on the following nights: Sept 20, Sept 27, Oct 4, Oct 18, Oct 25, Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 22, Dec 6, Dec 13, Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 21, Feb 28, March 7, March 14, April 4, April 11, April 18, April 25, May 2. Evaluations, guppy, and new swimmer evaluations May 16.
- Dates and time slot will be confirmed when we finalize the contract with the Rec Dept.
Reminders will not always be sent prior to swim nights so please make note of the dates. You can always refer to our team calendar on Swimtopia as a reminder. Any changes (pool closures, weather, etc) will be communicated by e-mail as soon as possible.
