Practice Policies

Check back for additional practice policies!

  • Swimmers and Divers are expected to be on time and ready to practice at their designated time.  That means arriving a few minutes early to get settled, apply sunscreen and gather any equipment you will need.
  • Swimmers and Divers should attend the practice for their age group.
  • In the event of heavy rain, thunder or lightening, the lifeguards are responsible for making the determination to close the pool.  Closures will be posted at the pool and we will do our best to inform Swimmers and Divers by e-mail when practices are delayed or canceled.

Swim Team Practice Policies

  • Swimmers should be prepared to begin practice at the assigned time.  Plan on arriving a few minutes early to get settled and gather caps, goggles and fins.  Swimmers with hair below their ears must wear caps for all practices.
  • Swimmers will be sharing lanes and will be expected to adhere to lane etiquette so that each swimmer can swim safely in the lane.
  • Swimmers are expected to be attentive to the coaches' instructions and behave appropriately during practice.  Coaches have the discretion to remove the swimmer from practice if the swimmer is behaving unsafely or inappropriately.
  • Parents are welcome to attend practices but may not be seated or standing on the pool deck.  Relax in a pool chair or sit at a table under the pavilion.
  • The baby pool and playground will not be open during morning practice.  Younger siblings can play in the grass near the pavilion but must be supervised by a parent or care giver.
  • During morning practices, the clubhouse will only be open for use of the bathrooms.  Siblings waiting for their practice group or a ride home may sit in a chair on the grass or at a table under the pavilion.
