Only pre-registered swimmers should plan on attending Winter Swim practice.  Swimmers should be ready to begin practice right at 7pm - we only have an hour together, so let's make the most of it. Arrive a few minutes early to shed coats, gather goggles and fins, and head over to our lanes. The coaches and interns will gather with the swimmers in our lanes and will stand on the opposite side of the pool from the bleachers. Parents may sit in the bleachers or there is a viewing window from the second floor of the rec center. Your swimmers should be prepared to... swim! It's an hour of lap swimming and our lanes will be very full so your swimmers need to be ready to keep moving. We will have interns in the water to assist our younger swimmers.

Dive Division 8 Championship Meet is being hosted at Springboard Pool. Volunteers will be needed to work the meet and for the pool concessions.

Please sign up to bring a dish or a side to help feed our hungry Swim and Dive families (dinner is for the whole family so plan on about 10 servings of whatever you sign up for). Plan on arriving at 5:45 so that dinner can be served at 6pm. Please label your containers and serving utensils. Lemonade will be provided.  You can also sign up to help with set up and clean up and it will count as a credit towards your volunteer commitment. (You should still plan to sign up for a dinner item as well.)  To sign up for your meal contribution AND/OR to volunteer with set up and clean up, click "JOB SIGNUP."  

It's a great bonding opportunity for the team and we will have lots of fun events going on including the naming of our Cudas of the Week EVERY WEEK!

Your Swim and Dive Reps

It's the last morning of regular swim practices!  All swimmers, please report at 9:00 am for some fun swims including the Guppy "Futures" swim and 13 and up Water Polo.  Everyone will be treated to an ice cream breakfast!

Join us Thursday, July 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Shadowland (5508 Franconia Rd., Alexandria, VA 22310). Cudas can have some fun playing laser tag OR glow golf. The cost is $12.50/person for two laser tag adventures - OR - $6.00/person for one round of glow golf with 12 holes. ** Please RSVP on Swimtopia -- sign up your swimmer or diver / in the comments, put their name(s) for the RSVP and their preference for laser tag or Glow Golf -- or to Shelly Naumovich in person or by email [email protected] by Monday 7/16 at noon. Shelly must provide numbers to Shadowland in advance, so please RSVP no later than Monday. Shadowland has a small concession stand (popcorn, candy, drinks) and arcade games, which are not included in the price per person.
